However, the rain completely missed the track as there wasn't even of a sprinkle all day long. With other area tracks cancelled, Tri-City Speedway had a few additional cars on hand. (more…)

Mark Burgtorf Steve Arpin CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS FROM TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY Pontoon Beach, IL (May 30, 2008) With severe thunderstorms forecasted to roll into the area during the early evening hours, Tri-City Speedway got the racing program rolling quickly with the first qualifying heat race taking to the track at 6:50pm and the track quickly worked through the racing program and completed the final feature event at 9:30pm. Collins, driving a borrowed machine from Randy Korte, started sixth in the main event and fought lap after lap with Rusty Griffaw and Billy Faust. Pontoon Beach, IL (May 16, 2008) Dewayne Kiefer of Ste. Genevieve, MO claimed his first Super Late Model feature victory against a tough field of competitors at Tri-City Speedway. With all the rain during the week, the track was wicked fast. Although there were no real holes in the track to make it rough, there ripples through the turns that made the track very challenging to drivers.
