Over the winter, the track was rebuilt from a 1/2 & 1/4 mile ovals to a single 3/8 mile oval banked 10 degrees. The new track also featured all new lighting and many other improvements. Pontoon Beach, IL (April 10, 2005) A huge field of racers came out to compete in the inaguaral event under the new ownership of G&G Motorsports at the Tri-City Speedway presented by Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers in Pontoon Beach, IL. The overflowing field of racecars quickly filled up the pit area, forcing track official's to come up with an alternate plan for pit parking.
