Pontoon Beach, IL (April 10, 2005) A huge field of racers came out to compete in the inaguaral event under the new ownership of G&G Motorsports at the Tri-City Speedway presented by Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers in Pontoon Beach, IL. The overflowing field of racecars quickly filled up the pit area, forcing track official's to come up with an alternate plan for pit parking. A solution was quickly found and some teams were allowed to pit on the back straight-away and turns of the 1/2 mile track since it wasn't being used at this event. [...]

He took home the $10,000 payday in winning the "Budweiser 50". Pearson withstood a mid-race challenge from several drivers as he went on to lead all 50 laps of the event.
