Pontoon Beach, IL - (September 11, 2005) Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL crowned their 2005 season champions in all five divisions. Steve Sheppard of New Berlin, IL took the UMP Late Model Championship as he led all twenty-five laps of the main event and picked up the victory which allowed him to maintain his lead in the points race and earn the championship. Randy Korte started deep in the field as he came from the eleventh starting position to claim the second spot. Michael Kloos, Mark Oller and Billy Laycock completed the top five. (more…)
