Pontoon Beach, IL (June 26, 2009) It was Mid-Season Championship Night at Tri-City Speedway. The top six track members in the point standings had their starting positions locked into the main events first three rows. Mark Voigt started on the front row pole and led flag-to-flag to claim the Super Late Model main event. Voigt maintained a torrid pace as he held off the challenge of Craig Smith, who started fifth, in the latter stages of the main event. Smith had used the high side to move up to the second spot and tried to run down Voigt, but ran out of time and settled for the second spot. Chad Zobrist would claim the third spot with Billy Laycock fourth and Tim Manville fifth.
Tommie Seets, Jr. took the lead at the drop of the green flag in the Modified main event from his front row outside starting spot. Seets us the high side and pulled away to a comfortable lead. As the laps began to wind down, it appeared Seets got a little too comfortable with his lead as he began turning slower laps. Rusty Griffaw began to slowly reel him in. As they entered turns three and four preparing to take the white flag, Griffaw slid under Seets and drifted up in front of him to take the lead. Seets had to back off the throttle in turn four to avoid contact, but he then dove back under Griffaw down the front stretch and re-took the lead going into turn one. Seets would hold back Griffaw down the back stretch and come around to take the victory. Griffaw would finish second with Marty Smith, Jr. third, Dane Gundaker fourth and John Stanton fifth.

Mark Oller claimed the UMP Pro Late Model main event. Oller would battle with 2008 Track Champion Bobby Dauderman for most of the event. However, Dauderman would settle for a second place finish with Bobby Martintoni finish third. Casey Montague would finish fourth and Daniel Heck fifth.

Danny Ems hustled his way to victory in the Street Stock feature event. Ems outlasted Josh Jackson who would take second. Terry McCann would finish third with Andy Beavers fourth and Jimmy Bell fifth.

Bob Zbinden rolled to another Factory Stock feature win. It was Zbinden's third win of the 2009 season at Tri-City Speedway. Jason Schmidt would take second with Chris Fisher third. Jason Suhre was fourth and Justin Suhre fifth.
