Tri-City Speedway readies for 2007 season with new track and bigger payouts!

Pontoon Beach, IL (March 31, 2007) Tri-City Speedway continues to prepare for the 2007 racing season as work continues on finishing the new track. The half-mile and quarter-mile tracks have been re-configured into one 3/8 mile track. There is all new Musco Lighting being installed and the concrete wall around the outside of the track is just about complete.

Tri-City Speedway is pleased to announce the addition of Dynamic Transit of Granite City, IL to their growing list of track sponsors. Tri-City Speedway is very pleased to announce their new payout for the 2007 season for the two top level classes.

The super late model division will now pay $1,200 to win and $150 to start for all weekly shows during the 2007 racing season thanks to Dynamic Transit.

Dynamic Transit sponsorship has alloed Tri-City Speedway to pay the Open Wheel Modified division $700 to win & $100 to start for all regular weekly events this season.

Tri-City Speedway will also have the STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award in 2007. The STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award will give the race car driver that advances the most positions in the feature event an additional $200. The STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award winner each week will be determined by the driver that advances their finishing position the most position from their assigned starting position in the main event. The winner must also carry a small STLRacing.com decal on their car to be eligible for the prize. These decals will be available to all drivers free of charge at the track. This award will rotate each week between the Super Late Model, CARS Late Model, Open Wheel Modifieds and Street Stock division. The winner of the award will receive their Hard Charger Award check for $200 the next week or at the next racing event at Tri-City Speedway.

Tri-City Speedway's Factory Stock division will also be sanctioned by U.M.P. for the 2007 season. This will allow the area's 4 cylinder drivers to have a Friday night track in the area to help them chase the National title in that division.

The season opener at Tri-City Speedway is on April 6th with Friday night racing each week throughout the summer and into fall.
