Tri-City Speedway postpones season opener till April 13th due to cold weather!

Pontoon Beach, IL (April 5, 2007) With Mother Nature sending another blast of Old Man Winter to the Midwest, Tri-City Speedway officials have decided to postpone their season opener scheduled for Friday, April 6th back one week to Friday, April 13th.

The April 13th event will feature the Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) Late Models. With top dirt late model drivers from the Midwest including Bill Frye, Terry Phillips, Jeff Taylor, Steve Rushin, Jack Sullivan, Joey Mack, Will Vaught, Billy James, Brandon McCormick, Jeremy Payne and many more, the M.A.R.S. series promises to bring some great exciting action to the new 3/8 mile oval at Tri-City Speedway.

The April 13th season opener at Tri-City Speedway will also feature all four of the other regular divisions including the Modifieds which will be U.M.P. sanctioned for this event, C.A.R.S. Late Models, Street Stocks and Factory Stocks.
