Tri-City Speedway forced to push back opening day to May 13th!

Pontoon Beach, IL (May 6th, 2011) The extreme weather and very wet conditions have slowed down the progress on the construction projects at Tri-City Speedway and forced promoters Tammy & Kevin Gundaker to push back opening night until Friday, May 13th.

The two day Nothern All Star Late Model Series event and UMP Modified special scheduled for this Thursday and Friday has been canceled.

On Friday, May 13th, Tri-City Speedway will feature a full program of racing including UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Late Models, Street Stocks which will be sanctioned by UMP as UMP Factory Stocks in 2011 and Tri-City Speedway’s Factory Stock division which is UMP sanctioned as UMP Sport Compacts.

Tri-City Speedway will also host a Test & Tune on Wednesday, May 11th from 6pm-9pm with gates opening at 5pm. Pit admission for test and tune will be $15 and grandstand admission will be free.
