Pontoon Beach, IL (August 28, 2005) Defending UMP Late Model National Champion Rodney Melvin of Benton, IL raced to his second straight UMP Late Model win at Tri-City Speedway. Melvin, who led the entire twenty-five lap main event fought off the challenges of Steve Sheppard enroute to claiming the win.
