Tri-City Speedway announces big plans for 2007!
Pontoon Beach, IL (November 15, 2006) Tri-City Speedway has some big changes in store for the 2007 racing season. The biggest change comes will be the racing surface itself. Tri-City Speedway will be reconfigured from the current two track configuration, a 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile track, into one 3/8 mile track. The existing 1/4 mile track will be extended out at each end to make it into a 3/8 mile track. The new track will feature a concrete wall completely around the outside of the track and have all new lighting. (more…)
Tri-City Speedway announces HARD CHARGER Award for the 2007 racing season!
Pontoon Beach, IL (November 16, 2006) Tri-City Speedway is pleased to announce the STLRACING.COM Hard Charger Award. The STLRACING.COM Hard Charger Award will give the race car driver that advances the most positions in the feature event an additional $200. The STLRACING.COM Hard Charger Award winner each week will be determined by the driver that advances their finishing position the most position from their assigned starting position in the main event. 2006 Season Championship Banquet

Tri-City Speedway will be switching their regular race nights to Friday nights in 2007!
Racing will start at 7:30pm on regular race nights! More details will be announced soon on the switch to Friday nights! Construction has also begun on building a new 3/8 mile oval that will be banked approximately 12 degrees in the turns. The current 1/2 and 1/4 mile tracks are being eliminated to make way for the 3/8 mile track.
