Pontoon Beach, IL (August 7, 2009) Jason Feger of Bloomington, Illinois put on a dominating performance as he claimed the O'Reilly Mid-American Racing Series (MARS) DIRTcar main event. The night didn't get off to a great start for Feger as he drew the highest number out of all twenty-nine entries in the draw for qualifying heat race starting positions. Since the MARS DIRTcar Series does not have qualifying, Feger had to start in the eighth starting spot in heat race. However, Feger stormed through the field during his heat race and finished in the second position. With the passing point system which rewards drivers for passing cars in their heat race, Feger earned the front row pole starting spot in the main event.
At the drop of the green flag in the main event Feger took command and led all forty laps. Feger's dominated for the win but a great battle raged on throughout the event throughout the rest of the top ten. In the early going, Tony Jackson, Jr. and Jeremy Payne battled for the second spot while Terry Phillips, Randy Korte and Mark Voigt fought for the fourth spot. Voigt and Korte would make contact on lap eleven causing significant nose and hood damage to Voigt's machine forcing him to the infield during the caution period to seek repairs from his crew. On the restart, Payne, Jackson, Korte and Phillips all battled over the second spot while Feger once again pulled away. As the laps began to wind down, Payne settled into the second position while Phillips assumed the third spot. Korte and Jackson continued to battle for the fifth spot as Billy Drake was blazing through the field toward the front. Drake started in the eighteenth starting position and moved past Korte and Jackson to take over the fourth spot with just five laps remaining. As Korte and Jackson battled for the fifth spot, Korte would make hard contact with the turn four wall as he was headed to the white flag. That would end Korte's night one lap short of the finish as he pulled into the infield. Feger took the win handily with Payne taking second and Phillips third. Drake would run out of laps while running down the leaders and finish fourth while Jackson rounded out the top five.

In the U.M.P. DIRTcar Modified division, Randy Korte took command of the twenty lap main event after an early battle with Scott Weber. Korte would pull away to win by a half-straightaway over Weber. Weber would finish in the second spot with Marty Smith, Jr. taking third. Smith made a last lap pass on Tommie Seets, Jr. to get the position and sending Seets to a fourth place finish. Dane Gundaker rounded out the top five.

Randy Korte, who was doing triple duty, also claimed the U.M.P. DIRTcar Pro Late Model feature event. Korte got the lead from Dustin Griffin on lap five and proceeded to pull away and win by almost a half-track distance as the feature went the final fifteen laps caution free. Griffin and Mark Oller had a fierce battle for the second spot for most of the event, but Daniel Heck made a late race charge and moved past both competitors and took the second spot. Griffin would take third with Oller finishing fourth. Bobby Dauderman completed the top five.

Danny Ems roared to another Street Stock feature win and earned the $500 payday for the special Street Stock event. Ed Lenhardt would finish second with Josh Jackson third. Buddy Love would finish fourth and Tommy Gegg completed the top five.

Rob Shaw won an exciting Factory Stock main event as he made a late race pass on early leader Jason Schmidt and proceeded to hold Schmidt off in the final laps. Bob Zbinden followed with a very close third place finish. Eldon Hemken finished a right behind Zbinden in the fourth spot and Chad Burgess completed the top five.
