Clauson charges through field for POWRi Midget Victory at Tri-City Speedway!

Pontoon Beach, IL. Bryan Clauson of Noblesville Indiana driving the family owned Parker Stone, NOS Energy Drink, Wholesale Connection number 39 Spike Chassis, Esslinger powered midget capped off an incredible driving performance Friday Night winning the 30-lap POWRi Midget Series feature at Tri-City Speedway. The victory was the fifth in POWRi competition this season for the Indiana driver.

Clauson was involved in a multi-car incident on the opening lap and restarted at the tail of the field. Zach Daum paced the first ten circuits. On a restart Daum was involved in an accident while leading and restarted the race from the tail of the field. Series points leader Brad Loyet inherited the lead after Daum’s problems. Clauson continued his charge through the field, taking of advantage of the several caution flags.

Clauson passed Loyet for the lead, with four laps remaining. Clauson driving the Corey Tucker owned Spike/Ford-Esslinger#39 finished ahead of Loyet, Brett Anderson, Bobby East and Nick Knepper.
