Tri-City Speedway presents the 2nd Annual FED-EX 50 on Sunday, May 27th!

Pontoon Beach, IL (May 15, 2007) Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL will host it's first big event on the newly reconfigured 3/8 mile dirt oval on Sunday, May 27th. The FED-EX 50 will feature the U.M.P. DirtCar Series Late Models battling for a $10,000 top prize with $700 to start in the twenty-four car field.

Some of the top dirt late model drivers in the country have the race on their schedule including Scott Bloomquist, Billy Moyer, Steve Francis, Shannon Babb, Brian Birkhofer, Chubb Frank, Randy Korte, Eric Jacobsen, Jimmy Mars, Bart Hartman, Darrin Miller, Bryan Collins, Steve Sheppard, Don O'Neal, Earl Pearson, Jr. along with NASCAR star Ken Schrader.

Hooters of America's famous Hooters Girls will be on hand for the Victory Lane ceremonies as well as doing fan giveaways. There will also be a late model simulator and a video wall fan scan. Local radio station Z107.7 will be doing a live remote with ticket giveaways!

There will be an autograph session featuring Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, Brian Birkhofer, Darrin Miller, Ken Schrader and many more!

The U.M.P. DirtCar Series Modifieds will also be racing for $1,000 to win and the U.M.P. Factory Stocks will be going for $300 to win!

Pit gate will open at 3pm, grandstand gate opens at 5pm with hotlaps at 6:30pm and qualifying at 7pm.

Tri-City Speedway is located off Interstate 270 at exit 4 (SR203). Go left 1/2 mile to the track on SR203.
